Born in H, corresponding to , in Al-Dawadmi, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Sheikh Dr. Bakr bin Abdullah Abu Zayd obtained his bachelor&#;s degree in Sharia from Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, a master&#;s degree from the Higher Institute of Judiciary and a doctorate from the same institute.
His Excellency held numerous scientific and managerial positions within Saudi Arabia, including Imam-Khatib and lecturer at the Prophet&#;s Mosque, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, member of the Saudi Council of Senior Scholars, the Permanent Committee for Scientific Research and Fatwa, member of the Saudi Judicial Council, judge at the Al-Madinah Supreme Court, member of the Islamic Fiqh Council of the Muslim World League, lecturer at the Higher Institute of Judiciary, and of graduate studies at the College of Sharia in Riyadh, as well as a curator of the public library of the Islamic University in Madinah.

Bakr ibn ‘Abdullah Abu Zayd ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Abdullah ibn Bakr ibn ‘Uthman ibn Yahya ibn Ghayhab ibn Muhammad. He descended from the tribe of Zayd Al-A’la, who is Zayd ibn Suwayd ibn Zayd ibn Suwayd ibn Zayd ibn Haram ibn Zayd Al-Qada’i from the famous Bani Zayd Al-Qada’iyyah tribe from the Al-Washm area of Najd, where he was born in A.H.

Shaykh Bakr studied until the second year of elementary school, and then in A.H. he moved to Riyadh where he continued his elementary studies, joined the Educational Institute, and graduated from the Faculty of Shari’ah as an associate with first class honors in A.H./ A.H.
In A.H. he moved to Al-Madinah, where he worked as a librarian in the General Library of the Islamic University.
In addition to his regular studies, he attended the learning circles of many Shaykhs in Riyadh, Makkah, and Al-Madinah.
