Wasserman, a global leader in sports, music and culture, has finalized a transaction to acquire legendary entertainment management and production company Brillstein Entertainment Partners (“Brillstein”). The announcement was made by Wasserman Chairman &#; CEO, Casey Wasserman, and Brillstein Co-CEOs, Cynthia Pett and Jon Liebman.
The addition of Brillstein adds a strong entertainment management and content vertical to Wasserman’s businesses, which market and serve the world’s most notable sports and entertainment figures, music artists, brands and properties. This unique collection of assets allows for an innovative exchange of services and ideas across its marketing, representation, and now with Brillstein, content creation and talent management arms.
Brillstein’s leadership, including Pett, Liebman, Marc Gurvitz, Sandy Wernick and all the Brillstein partners (George Freeman, Missy Malkin, David McIlvain, Alex Murray, Andrea Pett and Tim Sarkes) will continue to lead Brillstein as well as join Wasserman’s executive leadership team. The longtime talent manager and leader of Brillstein Entertainment Partners helped orchestrate the management firm’s sale to Wasserman this year. She’s had a busy year in film and TV with such notable clients as Brad Pitt, Courteney Cox, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Rami Malek, “Babygirl” co-star Harris Dickinson and Tiffany Haddish. Pett is known for her long relationships with star clients such as Pitt. She joined Brillstein-Grey Management in the early s. Nearly 15 years later, she partnered with CEO Jon Liebman to buy out the ownership stake of the firm’s co-founder, Brad Grey, after he was recruited to run Paramount Pictures in Pett is also well-known in the industry for her philanthropic commitment to rescue dogs and other causes. She serves on the board and is an active fundraiser for EBMRF, which raises awareness and funding for research into the rare disease epidermolysis bullosa (EB).

Brillstein-Grey Entertainment has rebranded itself Brillstein Entertainment Partners, chief executive officer Jon Liebman and partner Cynthia Pett-Dante, who together acquired the company from Brad Grey in July , announced today [June 20].
Grey's co-founding partners Bernie Brillstein, Marc Gurvitz and Sandy Wernick will continue to help Liebman and Pett-Dante lead the management, television and theatrical film businesses. Grey left the company in Jan to head Paramount Motion Picture Group.
They are assisted by a team of managers who have been with the company for many years, including Danny Sussman, Andrea Pett-Joseph, Tim Sarkes, Lee Kernis, Margaret Riley, Jai Khanna, Colton Gramm, Geoff Cheddy, Naren Desai, and Amy Weiss.
Partner Aleen Keshishian and Joanne Colonna joined the management division in from The Firm, along with managers Todd Diener and Mary Putnam Greene. David McIlvain and Missy Malkin arrived more recently.
The television division is headed by producer Peter Traugott, executive vice president Becky Clements, and vice president Mike Marks.
